Bible College News: A New Year

The page has turned and the pen has begun to write the events of a new year at Appalachian Bible College. With over eighty new students and a strong returning body, the campus was buzzing with excitement as classes kicked-off Wednesday, September 1st.

As faculty met new faces and students reconnected, they all flocked toward Anderson Hall for the year's first chapel. The unfamiliar sat in anticipation and those who have taken part before relished in the importance of “honoring the symbols that remind us of our role as ‘Servants of the Lord.’” Those symbols were the United States Flag, the Christian Flag, the West Virginia State Flag, the Appalachian Bible College Flag, and, most importantly, the Bible.

The recognition of these symbols was followed by a clear, passionate challenge from I Corinthians 6:19, 20 by Dr. Daniel L. Anderson, President of ABC. During his chapel time, Dr. Anderson introduced and expounded on the theme for the year: Servants of the Lord.

Consider taking time to share with our campus family and listen to Four Steps in Summarizing My Status as a Servant of the Lord.
