Bible College News: A Warm Winter Welcome

Roger Plowing

Amid the blistering chill and snowfall students arrived back on campus this week ready to hit the books for another semester. The days have been full of excitement as new students arrived Monday and began getting oriented to college life at ABC. Tuesday, returning students greeted one another and received a warm winter welcome.

Throughout the states, snow has covered roads and hindered some students from arriving. Beginning Tuesday, night snow covered campus roads and sidewalks. Wednesday, snow crews fought the morning fog as they layered up early for a long day of snow blowing, shoveling, and salting to keep students safe and feet dry as they travel from building to building.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that the weekend is not far and students are quick to take advantage of the extra activities associated with snow. This includes eloping to WinterPlace for a day of skiing or snowboarding. Or for those less experienced, they simply grab the closest sled and hit the campus hillside for a day of sledding and snowball fights.

Whatever the choice, this weekend is shaping up to be a “snowball” full of fun and a warm winter welcome to kick off the spring semester!
