Bible College News: A New Year

Dads carrying totes, moms dabbing tears, and young men and women settling into their residence halls; that has been the scene on campus throughout the past week.

However, Wednesday, August 31, 2011, the year officially began as students filled the classrooms, the walkways, and finally Anderson Hall for the school’s annual Convocation Chapel. “A time designated to honoring the symbols of servanthood,” said President, Dr. Daniel Anderson. Those symbols included the American flag, West Virginia State flag, Christian flag, Appalachian Bible College flag, and the written Word of God, the Bible.

Following the processional, Dr. Anderson revealed the theme for the year, Servants Who Love Thy Word. In addition, he challenged all in attendance to be “People with Passion for Precepts from God” through a look at Psalm 19:1-6.

Consider taking time to share with our campus family and listen to Dr. Anderson's challenge Four Sources of God's Precepts, the first in a three part series.
