Bible College News: Hello Snow!

Students Playing in Snow Servant Center Snow

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.”

This statement was heard throughout campus, received in multiple texts, and posted numerous times on Facebook as the ABC campus and the city of Beckley greeted the first significant snowfall.

Between three and four inches blanket the ground, buildings, and trees, providing opportunity for students to take a break from studying and enjoy a good snowball fight. In addition, “snow men” were awakened from hibernation as they brought snow shovels and snow plows out of storage and cleared the path for fellow students.

In town, the pace of traffic was a bit more reserved than usual. Drivers appeared pleasant as they navigated the hazardous conditions. Roads revealed the attentiveness of city workers to clear safe paths for people returning to their families after a hard day's work.

Above all, the most evident truth from this surprise blanket of snow has been the greatness of our God and the reminder of His forgiveness to a rebellious people; "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18).
