Servant Spotlight:

Alumnus of 1957 - Pastor Hayward Lough Loses All in Fire

Many of you are familiar with Pastor Hayward and Kay Lough. Fellow Alumnus, faithful pastor, committed board member, servant to alumni, passionate for world missions: each of these and more describe Pastor Hayward Lough, graduate of ABI in 1957.

Now in his 80's Hayward and Kay were blessed by the care of Carolyn, their daughter, and her husband in Fayetteville, WV. In recent days their home burned to the ground. The Lough's and their daughter lost everything.

Throughout the years their testimony has displayed a life lived by faith. As a result, they have very basic needs. God has provided a temporary apartment in Elkview, WV with 1 month's rent covered by a church in Florida.

Many friends have begun filling other needs as well. Clothes are being given, furniture has been shared, but most importantly, each of them has received new Bibles from Pastor Lough's last church where he served for several years: Emmanuel Baptist in Fayetteville, WV.

Would you consider sharing a financial gift with Pastor and Mrs. Lough during these days? If so, there are two ways you can give.

  • Because they are transitory, ABC would invite you to send any checks to the College. We will see to it that they are delivered to the Lough's in full. Please make all check's payable to "Hayward Lough."
  • Share through online giving. Again, ABC will see to it that your donation is delivered to the Lough's in full. Please indicate "Hayward Lough" in the Gift Designation.

Thank you for your sharing in these times with the Loughs.
