Back to Servant SpotlightsFebruary 2012
Alumnus of 1953 - Ralph Keyes Honored as Deacon Emeritus
Seven students, an ideal number for a Bible Institute in its beginning years. Included in that number was Ralph Keyes who was recently recognized by his church as a faithful servant of the Lord.
As one of the first graduates of ABI, Mr. Keyes illustrates the mission of Dr. Pipkin and Pastor Guelich by faithfully serving his family. Due to his father's disability, Ralph worked to support his family during the years following his education. He also served in the Army from 1955-57, sending money home during that time.
On February 15, 1958, Ralph married his sweetheart, Margaret. They have been blessed with three children, Sheila, Alisa, and Danette throughout their 54 years of marriage.
During those years they have served faithfully at various churches. Over the past 14 years they have attended and served at First Baptist Church of Longwood, Florida. Their ministry opportunities have ranged from teaching young couples, singing in the choir, leading in the seniors ministry, and Ralph has served as deacon in those years.
Recently FBC recognized Ralph for "his long and distinuished service as Deacon of FBC Longwood," honoring him with the title, Deacon Emeritus.
Congratulations Ralph and may the Lord continue to bless you and Margaret as you serve the Lord. Thank you for exemplifying ABC's motto, "Because Life is for Service."
Happy 54th Anniversary from your ABC Family!
